White House blasts draft Iran agreement as ‘complete fabrication’

The White House is pushing back against a draft memorandum of understanding published by Iranian state media on Wednesday, marking the latest in the back and forth between Washington and Tehran on peace negotiations.

“This report from Iranian controlled media is not true and the MOU they ‘released’ is a complete fabrication. Nobody should believe what Iranian state media is putting out. FACTS MATTER,” read a post from the White House’s rapid response team on X.

The post was in response to reporting from Fox News, which cited Iranian state media.

Reuters reported on Wednesday that Iranian state television obtained a draft of the unofficial memorandum, in which the U.S. would lift their naval blockade on Iranian ports and withdraw troops from around Iran, while the Persian nation would get commercial shipping through the Strait of Hormuz back to pre-war levels........
