Heritage Foundation adds 4 members to board

The Heritage Foundation on Wednesday added four new members to its board of trustees, including conservative commentator Mollie Hemingway and nationalist political theorist Yoram Hazony, marking a step in the think tank’s recalibration to “Heritage 2.0.”

Also joining the think tank are Lawrence Blanford, the retired CEO of Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, and business leader and education reform activist J.C. Huizenga. The announcement of the new board members was first shared with The Hill.

The board election comes after several board members resigned in the months after the conservative think tank faced inner turmoil over its president, Kevin Roberts, initially defending Tucker Carlson for interviewing antisemitic streamer Nick Fuentes. While Roberts quickly apologized to his staff for how he handled the matter, the incident sparked a wider internal rebellion over Heritage’s ideological direction in the Trump era.

The addition of the new board members is the latest sign of Heritage seeking to steady the ship.
