Super Bowl LXI to stream on Disney
Disney is betting big on streaming as the company gets set to air Super Bowl LXI next year in Los Angeles.
The NFL’s championship game will air on Disney , the media conglomerate’s flagship digital subscription platform, as its main television network ABC and sports arm ESPN broadcast the game on linear channels.
This year will be the first time ESPN has ever broadcast the Super Bowl, which each season earns the largest single night television audience of the year and reaps the host network billions in advertising revenue.
Disney putting the Feb. 14 game on its top streaming platform will make it available in more than 55 international markets, including Spanish-speaking Latin America,........
