Veterans homelessness rates have dropped to a record low since detailed counting began in 2009, the Biden administration announced on Monday for Veterans Day.
In January 2024, officials counted 32,882 homeless veterans, a significant drop from recent years and a 55.6 percent decrease from 2010.
The number of unsheltered homeless veterans also decreased from 15,507 in 2023 to 13,851 in January 2024.
The numbers, shared by the U.S. Interagency Council on Homelessness (USICH), U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), show that........
