(NEXSTAR) — If you’re a frequent Amazon shopper, you may have grown to recognize the sound of an approaching delivery driver and the quiet, gentle hum of an electric Amazon vehicle pulling into your drive.

Soon, you may associate a new sound with the arrival of a box sporting the signature Amazon arrow: the buzz of a drone.

Amazon Prime launched drone deliveries back in 2022, with service limited to Lockeford, California, and College Station, Texas. Prime Air Service has expanded since and is currently available in 11 cities, according to Amazon.

That will soon grow to nearly 500 cities and towns, the Seattle-based company announced........
