OTTAWA—Prime Minister Mark Carney has an interesting political table set for him. Over the last couple of weeks, a variety of different public opinion surveys have shown his party with a healthy lead over the Conservatives. While that data has been flooding in, the war on Iran and in the Middle East has put Carney in a sticky spot.
