The new “monitoring the situation” pop-up Polymarket bar coming to Washington, D.C., pretty much defeats the entire purpose of bars.

On Wednesday, the “prediction market” company announced that its new bar will be a refuge for people who want to watch the news, markets, etc., and place bets on real-world events.
