Tulsi Gabbard Replacement Pick Already Coming Back To Haunt Trump

President Donald Trump has made a clean renewal of FISA Section 702 a key goal in his second term. But the president’s recent pick to replace Tulsi Gabbard is already causing a major hiccup that could very well blow up any chances of renewing the Deep State’s favorite spying tool for another three years.

Trump announced earlier that Bill Pulte, the director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency, would temporarily serve as the acting Director of National Intelligence, replacing Gabbard, who resigned in May.

However, Pulte has rubbed Senate Democrats the wrong way, potentially threatening the Trump White House’s quest to reauthorize Section 702, widely loathed by “privacy hawks” and Americans who still believe in civil liberties and the Fourth Amendment. Section 702 allows intel agencies to spy on foreigners and potential terrorists without a warrant, but data belonging to law-abiding Americans often gets caught in the dragnet.........
