Liberal Kingmakers Admit They Missed Big Red Flags For Platner

As an old teacher of mine used to say, usually when one of her students couldn’t cough up the obvious answer to her simple question: “If it were a dog, it would be biting your leg.”
Sometimes, those questions were far more difficult than she let on. She had very high, exacting standards — unlike those of the two Democratic Party operatives, who “handpicked” and vetted the scandal-plagued Maine Senate hopeful Graham Platner. As a quick recap, Platner was caught in a sexting scandal while he was married; accused of physically abusing an ex-girlfriend; was forced to cover up a Nazi tattoo; and has a long history of distasteful Reddit posts concerning black people and tipping culture, sexual assault victims, police officers, and white, rural Americans, whom he described as racist and stupid.
