Congress Kicks The Tin-Can Man Down The Road As AI Behemoth Reveals Chilling Warning Sign

AI behemoth Anthropic issued a chilling warning Thursday. Pretty much, they said, the robots are going rogue, and we all need to take a breather before things get way out of hand.

The company said in a blog post that AI technology will soon be able to design future models by itself, without human researchers and engineers. So, they say, we should tap the brakes.

“If it were possible to effectively slow the development of this technology to give ourselves more time to deal with its immense implications,” Anthropic believes, “that would likely be a good thing.” But the company said, “If a slowdown simply lets the least cautious actors catch up technologically, it could leave everyone less safe.” (RELATED:........
