Dan Hurley’s mom was loving it!
When we got to halftime of the Elite Eight matchup between UConn and Duke, the Blue Devils were running the show with a 44-29 lead, and just looking on paper, it looked like the boys from Durham were headed to yet another Final Four.
But then the second half came. (RELATED: ‘Travesty And Disgrace’: Charles Barkley Busts Out Immigration Rant During UConn-Duke Thriller)
The Huskies chipped away at the lead, eventually getting the margin down to just points. Still though, it looked the Blue Devils were going to pull things out as they had the ball with just a few seconds remaining, all they had to do was hold on to the ball and wait to get fouled. This would have sent them to the free throw line to seal the deal. However, that didn’t happen.
After UConn stole the ball away from Duke in a wild sequence, Huskies guard Braylon Mullins threw a Hail Mary three-pointer with only 0.4 seconds remaining, and unbelievably hit the damn thing for the 73-72 win over the Blue Devils. It was absolutely incredible.
The win punched the Final Four ticket for UConn.

And to make this whole thing even better, we had Dan Hurley’s mom, who appeared to have the best response possible in this moment: “Holy f*cking sh*t.”
