Aaron Judge Declares Team USA ‘Fired Up’ For World Baseball Classic, Hopes To ‘Copy’ American Olympic Glory

We’ve got another edition of Team USA to root for, and it’s happening on the baseball field, as the United States is getting prepared to battle for another gold medal in the World Baseball Classic (WBC), which begins this week.
Recent international sports has been dominated by America, highlighted by the runs that the men’s and women’s hockey teams had at the 2026 Winter Olympics in February. Both squads beat Canada to win the gold. Each game concluded with a goal in overtime, with Jack Hughes and Megyn Keller playing hero for their respective rosters. Aaron Judge, the captain of Team USA and superstar talent for the New York Yankees, showed up Monday on “The Pat McAfee Show,” admitting that the hockey teams have the boys amped to play in the WBC.
“Boys were fired up,” said Judge after McAfee questioned him regarding what he thought about the goal from Hughes. “Hughes, man, we sent so many pictures of Hughes in the group text. It was great.
“It’s kinda cool that it’s going to snowball into this. Just the excitement we had when I was with the Yankees, and then with the group text, the boys were pumped up. Now, it’s WBC, we get the chance to throw on the red, white, and blue and copy what they did.”
