Brutal heat is hitting Kumamoto Prefecture, which was heavily damaged by a powerful earthquake late last month.

The city of Kumamoto on Aug. 3 recorded a historic high temperature of 40.3 degrees. Haven’t the people there suffered enough already? My heart goes out to them.

I know that nothing can be done about the weather. Still, can’t it just get a bit cooler?
