Equal pay for women: WA's iron ore industry has shown the way forward

Quite rightly, there a lot is being said about the inequality of the pay and conditions of women. The most recent is the state government making these matters appealable through the industrial relations processes.

There can be no real issue with that, but reading about it made me recall a long time ago in the era of big, strong and powerful unions who battled with big, strong and powerful mining companies.

Back then this matter became topical and curiously it turned out to be a relatively easy thing to fix.
