Those left behind: Survivors in limbo after corporate restructuring

Being asked to stay on after a boss has been made redundant can leave employees in a difficult situation.Credit:Tanya Lake


The company that I work for has restructured with a "spill and fill" – I have survived, but my boss and many at her level have not. Instead of being walked immediately, they have been asked to stay on for several months, the idea being they can pass on their IP.

It is awkward – they don't want to be there and it stopping the business from moving forward.

Any thoughts on how to best proceed?
