The pros and cons of contract and permanent roles

There are many reasons companies choose to hire contract employees.

These include budget constraints, delayed approval processes for increasing headcount or a need to quickly bring in expert talent for short-term projects.

Contract roles are also often more common in certain industries − such as change management or technology − because contract workers sometimes offer companies fresh perspectives, flexibility and immediate results. So depending on the type of industry you’re looking to work in, you may be exposed to more contract opportunities than permanent ones.

But it’s important to remember that choosing a permanent or contract position should only be about what suits you and your career best − not about whether you think you’ll be more or less valuable to your employer. So the question is, what are the advantages........
