What happens when you've watched everything there is to watch?

1 0 0

You’re staring at the TV. You’re clicking the clicker. A sickening sense of dread rises in the pit of your stomach. Maybe ... you’ve come to the end of your TV life.

There are no more shows left to watch. You’ve watched every whacko free-to-air reality show where adults play with little plastic kiddie-bricks. Binged every epic fantasy streaming show where nothing much seems to be happening and then everyone’s throat gets slit at the same time.

Game of Thrones is over too ...Credit:HBO

Finished every SBS crime show where Aspergery cops in bad knitwear solve the murders of immigrants who’ve been found sliced in half on border-crossings, their intestinal goop divided between a country with lots of snow and another country with lots of snow, but slightly slushier snow. And now that your TV life is over, you’re thinking the unthinkable: you’re going to switch off the TV ... turn to someone else in your house … and ask them about their day.........
