Why I play the games my children want to play (even if they're boring)

The summer holidays are a great opportunity to slow down and catch up on all that family time you missed during your busy year. But, out of all the toys and gadgets your child will receive for Christmas this year, the thing your kids will most want to play with is you.

Parents are continually being told to spend more time with their children. I’m totally on board with that, with just one caveat: how you spend that time should be decided by your child, not you.

Rather than allowing our kids to join in with our hobbies and interest, we should allow our kids to guide the activities.
