Ripping and tearing: Young Sharks getting their teeth into it

All the players, across all the teams, will respond this weekend for Magic Round.

They feed off the hype of these sort of events, from the energy in the crowd. We’ve seen it this year already at Sydney’s newest stadium, Bankwest, at Parramatta.

The two games there have been crackers. The Eels have really lifted off the back of that atmosphere.

It will be the same at Suncorp over the next four days. We’re also expecting perfect Queensland weather so it will be a fast track. Both the Titans and Sharks like to use the ball so expect a fast, entertaining game.

BABY SHARKS

Coach John Morris and his assistant, Jim Dymock, are doing a great job. His players are playing for each other, playing for the coach, they’re playing with tremendous spirit.

They’ve got some of their older players out but they're watching these young blokes ripping in and I can tell you it’s making those injured, older players really diligent with their recovery and rehab, because they know they have a job ahead of them when it’s time to come back and keep their positions.

Kyle Flanagan interests me. He’s been starting in the halves with five-eighth Shaun Johnson........
