Pub goers react as children banned from popular Swindon bar |
A Swindon pub’s decision to ban children after 9pm has gone down well with Adver readers.
After some isolated incidents which saw children disrupt punters’ experience at The Stripey Badger, its management issued a friendly reminder to parents and guardians about keeping an eye on their children.
They also advised that from now on, no youngsters will be allowed on the premises after a cut-off point in the evening.
Here’s what you had to say on the matter.
The Stripey Badger said: “We hope everyone understands our reasoning for this.”
Diane Craig replied: “Wish more would do it and earlier so people can have a peaceful meal.”
Sarah Forde replied: “Should be dogs as well, it’s unhealthy when people are eating and the poor dogs would rather be at home anyway!”
Luke Gregory said: “Kids shouldn't be in a pub in the evening anyway.”
Ian Marsh said: “I think from 7pm all children should be banned from pubs.
Deanne Smith said: “If you like going to pubs often and staying late, don't have kids, simple.”
Sian Balmforth: “Why not adults as well? Some can’t even act accordingly and behave either under the influence, starting fights acting like kids themselves, this is why kids aren't allowed in pubs after 9pm for the exact reason! I don’t dispute the 9pm rule.”
