Don't get mad, get even-tempered

OPINION: OK, so I'm not going to argue that Trade Me should stop selling "It's OK To Be White" T-shirts. I'm not going to get angry about its staggeringly naive view (in the light of the history of these shirts) that the sales don't violate the site's community standards. And I'm not going to go on a rant about how it's promoting white supremacist ideology and normalising the concept of white victimhood.

Nope, I am certainly, calmly and with clear conviction not going to do any of that.

That's not because I'm coming out as a secret neo-Nazi who's looking for a fresh addition to my autumn-winter wardrobe. No, I am still a bleeding-heart liberal leftie, who's as mushy inside as a two-week-old jellybean in your jeans pocket that's been through a hot wash cycle.

I'm deliberately not getting mad about this because it's exactly what I'm supposed to do.

Yes, the whole purpose of these shirts is to boil the blood of me and my fellow jelly-bean justice........
