Not always a disaster

OPINION: By the time you read this, there may or may not be a new royal baby for the world to obsess over.

And while there are a lot of uncertainties that come with the arrival of any new little being into this world, you can be sure of one thing: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's new status as parents will ensure they will be judged.

Salivating media, especially in the United Kingdom, have been whipped into a storm of predictions and analysis, speculation and query.

Unsatisfied with the request for privacy for their little one's arrival, those with a vested interest in learning all the details to share with the world haven't wasted time in having pointless discussions about the what ifs, buts and maybes.

There have been rumours of home births, delayed announcements, birthing pools, doulas and definitely no stand-up for a photo outside the hospital hours after the birth, a la Prince William and Catherine.

What I take issue with is how so many parts of the process are........
