Music fans in Gwent are spoilt for choice this weekend with a variety of events planned across pubs and live music venues.

The Corn Exchange, located in the Old Post Office on Newport's High Street, will host a Smiths tribute band on Saturday, September 13.

Last year, the event was a sell-out, and tickets are "flying" this year.

The same night, Son of Sham will perform at the Mount Pleasant Inn, Cwmbran.

This event promises a "cracking night full of rock, pop and punk........
