Actors Ruth Jones and Steve Spiers joined volunteer RNLI crews during filming for a new television show.

The episode was shot at the Porthcawl and Barry Dock RNLI stations for the new programme Ruth and Steve: From Porthcawl with Love, which is due to air on BBC1 on Monday 15 December at 9pm.

The crew members had the chance to demonstrate their life-saving work for the cameras while welcoming a visit from the Welsh stars.

Andrew Walmsley, lifeboat operations manager at Porthcawl, said: "It was great to meet both Ruth and Steve, and we really appreciated them coming down........
