Fans hail Corriedale as 2 big characters killed and another 'returns from the dead' |
Soap fans were treated to the 'best episode ever' last night as the highly anticipated Corriedale hit screens.
The one-off 60-minute crossover episode between ITV's two long-running soaps, Coronation Street and Emmerdale.
It followed characters from both shows after what was described as a "catastrophic multiple vehicle collision".
Two characters died and one returned after being killed five years ago, with fans loving the episode overall.
The episode was broadcast after individual Emmerdale and Corrie episodes aired earlier in the evening, following on from those stories.
One car was being driven by Yorkshire murderer John Sugden, with estranged husband Aaron Dingle also in the vehicle.
The other was being driven by corrupt police officer Becky Swain, with Becky's estranged wife Lisa Swain also in the car.
The pair collided while driving on a country road, with Aaron and John's car being flipped upside down, and the Swains' car crashing off the road.
