A £2 cap on bus journeys could soon be rolled out under new transport plans.

Welsh Labour has pledged to introduce the cap across Wales as part of its campaign for the 2026 Senedd elections.

The cap would apply to all single bus fares for passengers aged 22 to 59 starting April 2027, if they lead the next Welsh Government.

Ken Skates, cabinet secretary for transport and north Wales, said: "From now on in Wales, buses will be run for people, not just for profit.
