A theatre is celebrating a new cinema projector with 50 free community film screenings.

Newport Live has launched the project at The Riverfront Theatre thanks to funding from the UK Government’s Shared Prosperity Fund, marking a major upgrade for the venue’s long-running cinema programme.

The first community screening, A Bunch of Amateurs, took place at a special launch evening attended by the mayor of Newport, Councillor Kate Thomas, Councillor James Clarke, and supporters of The Riverfront Theatre.
