A Welsh author has been announced as one of four new ambassadors for Bookshop Day.

Claire Fayers, a celebrated children's author from Newport, will help to champion bookshops across the UK and Ireland during Bookshop Day 2025.

The author, known for her books including 'The Accidental Pirates' series and 'Welsh Giants, Ghosts and Goblins,' will join actor Hugh Bonneville, professor Emily Zobel Marshall, and poet Simon Lamb in the role.
