'This is so terrifying' - Channel 4's use of AI presenter shocks some viewers
Channel 4 has claimed to be the first British television programme to use an artificial intelligence (AI) presenter, which has been called "terrifying" by some viewers.
A Dispatches programme called 'Will AI Take My Job?' aired on Monday evening (October 20) on the channel.
This investigated how AI automation is changing workplaces across various industries, including law, fashion and medicine.
At the end of the programme, it also revealed that its own presenter, Aisha Gaban, was entirely AI-generated.
Did you notice anything different?
This is Britain’s first-ever AI TV presenter in a documentary. Viewers were kept in the dark until the very end. It’s part of a stunt aiming to show just how convincing AI has become, and how quickly it’s improving. pic.twitter.com/APfH4ge3U6
