A person is barricaded inside the Palace Hotel on the corner of New Montgomery Street and Market Street in San Francisco.

A standoff took place between police and a person reportedly barricaded inside a downtown San Francisco building on Saturday, officials confirmed. 

Officers responded to reports of gunshots at a business on the unit block of New Montgomery Street at 12:16 p.m. on Saturday, the San Francisco Police Department told SFGATE in a statement.
