Nature lovers on foot and hoof will soon have to share the trails at one of the Bay Area’s most incredible outdoor treasures.

On Sept. 3, the Marin Water Board of Directors unanimously approved a new pilot program allowing bikers on select trails in the Mount Tamalpais watershed, totaling 7 miles — including some trails in Mount Tamalpais State Park.
