A staple Chinese restaurant of the Richmond District in San Francisco has closed its doors for good after 25 years in business.
Kirin Chinese Restaurant, at 6135 Geary Blvd., originally opened in 1999, was known for Cantonese family-style cuisine and served dishes such as rainbow salad, with chicken or raw fish, winter melon soup, served in an actual melon, fried shrimp heads, chicken stuffed with sweet rice and lobster yee mein.
