What the polls say about who might become San Francisco mayor

With just one day before polls close on election night, the San Francisco mayoral race is still anyone’s game.

Among the 13 candidates running for the top office at City Hall, only four appear to have a real chance: incumbent Mayor London Breed, who is running for her second full term; former supervisor and interim Mayor Mark Farrell; Board of Supervisors President Aaron Peskin; and Daniel Lurie, a local nonprofit leader and an heir to the Levi Strauss fortune.

All year, polls have indicated a tight race. The most recent polling, however, bodes the best for Lurie, who entered the race last year with little name recognition. But after spending more........
