The Golden State Warriors apparently gave general manager Mike Dunleavy Jr. a behind-the-scenes contract extension earlier this season that will keep him in the Bay Area for “multiple years.”
ESPN’s Anthony Slater and Ramona Shelburne published a story Monday previewing the Dubs’ offseason through the lens of whether Steve Kerr returns as head coach. But within an article that focuses on Kerr’s “uncertainty” was a nugget of newfound certainty. Slater and Shelburne reported that Dunleavy is not at risk of leaving for a vacancy with the Bulls, where he played for three seasons of his NBA career, because he “quietly” signed a multi-year extension “in recent months.”
