Warriors fan emails Joe Lacob with complaints, gets response 2 minutes later

After another crushing loss by the Golden State Warriors, one fan decided to take his frustrations straight to owner Joe Lacob — and got a surprisingly candid reply.

Justin Dutari, a 27-year-old from Panama who works in the cruise industry, has been a Warriors fan since he went to a game at Oracle Arena in the early 2010s and was amazed by Steph Curry. In a phone interview with SFGATE on Monday, Dutari said he was feeling upset after the Dubs fell under .500 by losing 136-131 to the Blazers on Sunday night despite a 48-point night from Curry.

So, Dutari searched and found an email address that he thought belonged to Lacob and shot off a quick note, asking him to “please do something about this Team.” Dutari rhetorically asked if Curry needed to score 50 points each night for the team to win, and he offered the owner his opinion on the team’s issues (that the Warriors are playing Jimmy Butler out of position and need to have a real center).

“Our roster is, like, not very well constructed at the moment,” Dutari told SFGATE. 

So with a subject line of, “Please read,” Dutari fired off the email at 8:44 p.m. Pacific time on Sunday. He assumed it would go into a spam folder and never be seen by the Golden........
