Spring can't come soon enough |
Only 50 days remain until spring. The next season can’t come soon enough.
Unless you’re a snowmobiler, skier or ice fisherman, you can’t be pleased with the weather we’ve had to endure the past couple of weeks. It’s been years since this area has experienced temperatures this low, and we’ve had more than our fair share of snow on top of everything.
Local schools were closed twice this week due to weather conditions. Area kids no doubt enjoyed these bonus holidays, but they were no fun for the rest of us.
With February and March yet to go, there is the potential for more snow and frigid temperatures. Already this winter I’ve had to use the snowblower six times compared to only twice the entire winter of 2024-2025. I’ve also had to boost the car a few times which is a few times more than a........
