Summer is on the way

Personally, I have had just about enough rain for a while and am soaking up as much Vitamin D and warm temperatures whenever I can.

Most of us have been out cleaning gardens of leaves and dead perennials, making room for flowering bulbs and spring and summer flowers, cutting or pruning shrubs and trees, raking and cutting grass. It feels good to be out in the sunshine using long static muscles and joints. Well, for short bursts at a time, anyway. I am sure I wasn’t the only one who, on the first couple days of decent weather, did too much and suffered for the effort. Somehow even that felt good making me feel vibrant and vigorous. It’s a lot of work but it’s good to still be able to do most of it, even if it is more slowly and for shorter periods of time.

I can cut my lawn all at once after I get all my body parts moving with some fluidity but my first couple lawn mowings are done over a couple or even three days. I have to work up to it.
