Owners want to create a gathering place for people who want to explore energy work and healing
After the West Elgin Pharmacy vacated its longtime location at 229 Graham Rd. in West Lorne early last year, and its façade and interior were being rebuilt, the curious cats of West Lorne went round and round in circles awaiting the news of what was happening?
Who was redoing the building? What would the new business offer, and who would be running it?
This intrepid reporter stopped by and tried to quiz former student Joe Machado and his crew, who were doing an amazing job of refurbishing and refreshing the façade of the building, I was told in no uncertain terms that it was a secret, and that I should calm my desire to take and publish photos.
Eventually a few details became known, and on June 3, 2025, Celina Messimeris opened her new business, Cosmic Oasis. I have since visited the store several times, and have been extremely impressed with the visual appeal of the interior and exterior, and have been greeted very pleasantly each time.
I asked Celina what Cosmic Oasis was all about, and this was her reply: “Cosmic Oasis is more than a shop, it’s a gathering place for people who want to explore energy work, healing, and the art of consciously creating their reality.”
