ROBINET: Is it Monday yet?!

Well, boys and girls, after a busy, jam-packed weekend, I have to confess I’m almost ready for it to be back-to-work Monday already (not quite, but almost!).

The whole thing kicked off with a late Friday night junket into the wilds of Chatham-Kent to try and get a better view of the Northern Lights than our back deck could provide.

Thanks to something sciencey, huge parts of the world were blessed with this light display that I managed to miss out on whilst in Iceland a couple of years ago.

But, after initially dismissing the light show as “overrated,” I pointed my phone’s camera up to the sky anyway and was instantly rewarded with all the colours that the naked eye doesn’t see.

I pressed the button and then realized that the camera was requiring a two to three-second exposure to take the shot.

Luckily, decades and decades of clean living and the ability to hold my breath for a few seconds allowed me to get some decent shots.

After we’d been driving out of town for a while, I suggested to Donald that the Wednesday market lot might be a good place to pull over, as opposed to the roadside where others were stopped.

He pointed out that we were on the Prince Albert, not Highway 2.

In my defence, it was dark out!

By the time I got to bed that night it was 1 a.m., and........
