But let’s look in the rear-view mirror to see how we fared in 2025.

Gardeners, like farmers, are quite OK with December’s colder than usual weather. We know that a good deep freeze is good for the land. Good for the bugs, too.

For gardeners, it’s all about the weather, especially for those of us who live in Southwestern Ontario, where the Great Lakes gives weather forecasters a challenge.

The last four winters have shown a milder trend, in contrast to the winters of decades........
