General Motors is slashing hundreds of salaried IT workers in U.S. restructuring
The cuts will affect 500 to 600 employees, largely in Austin, Texas, and Warren, Michigan

General Motors $GM is laying off 500 to 600 salaried employees in its information technology operations as the automaker works to reshape its workforce and reduce costs.
Management began notifying affected workers Monday,........
