We all wonder about inspiration. Where does it come from, and how do we get our ideas?
Maybe it's about belief. It's about belief in the moment. It's about belief that the world will guide me in the right direction. It's then about trusting everything that flows through me. We align ourselves like an arrow, we draw the string, and hold steady.
Now, we're ready. Are we ready? Are we aimed correctly? Yes. Check. Check. Check. Now shoot. Grab another arrow. Shoot. Grab another. Shoot. (I was born for this. I am Cupid. Every arrow I shoot brings more love into the world.)
Believing and repeating through that same process is fundamental to moving my life forward. I don't just shoot one arrow. And I don't spend my time preparing to shoot a dozen. Preparation to shoot arrows is not the act of shooting arrows. We could constantly get ready for anything; that's an activity unto itself.
I'm increasingly dedicated to the retail industry at its lowest echelon. I'm thrilled to announce I have two positions now, one at a dollar store and the other organizing, "maintaining," the clothing racks at a secondhand store.
I know it's funny for me to be pleased to have two minimum-wage part-time jobs that any high school kid could get. Guys, look: That's how bad it's been. I was the kid with straight-As and a perfect SAT, and I graduated from an Ivy League school.
