For decades, the prevailing assumption was that serious scientists didn't study unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP), and serious people didn't talk about them.

That assumption is no longer true.

In June, Harvard astrophysicist Avi Loeb was asked by the U.S. Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) to assemble and lead a multidisciplinary UAP Science Advisory Council to provide independent scientific guidance to U.S. government agencies investigating UAP. The council brings together experts in astrophysics, physics, biology, psychology, engineering, artificial intelligence, oceanography, and philosophy. I serve as one of the council's psychologists, helping examine the human factors that influence observation, reporting, interpretation, and communication alongside the physical evidence.
