It's not clear how many women actually follow the 6-6-6 dating rule. But it is becoming a stereotype of women.

Beware of using "women are too picky" as an excuse for dating woes rather than looking at what you are doing.

The 6-6-6 rule can be a clear indication of superficiality, which can actually save you time and effort.

You may have heard men on social media complaining about women who want too much "six" when dating. No, not sex, but six with an "I," as in at least some women insisting, "I want a man who is at least six feet tall, has at least a six-figure salary, and has six-pack abs or is at least six-inches long down there." This has become known as the "6-6-6 rule."

Has The 6-6-6 Rule Set Up Unrealistic Dating Expectations for Men?

The men complaining about this rule point to statistics that only 14.5% of men in the U.S. are six feet or taller and only 25% of American men make at least $100,000 a year. It's not clear what percentage of them have six-pack abs or other physical attributes, since such things are more difficult to verify on surveys. But the resulting math suggests that only a very small fraction—likely less than one percent—of all men........
