I’m dealing with skin cancer for the third, and possibly fourth time. I called my doctor sometime in late March. He was away for the month of April, and I knew it was urgent, so choose to see the locum. She was very good and asked all my history on skin cancer. I was referred to the dermatologist, Dr. Rodriguez, who made the diagnosis. Squamous cell carcinoma.

She referred me to Dr. Gary MacLean, who had done my previous cancer surgeries. I waited close to four weeks to hear from Dr. MacLean. I finally called his office and discovered they had been trying to call me on a number I have not had for eight years. How did Dr. MacLean have an old number when Dr. Rodriguez’s office assistant had called me the month before at my correct number?
