LETTER: Has basic income support been lost in P.E.I. cabinet shuffles?

As a member of a number of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) for over 40 years, I have often had the task of writing project proposals to funders such as foundations and often to either the provincial or federal government. At an early stage I was privileged to take a year-long challenging academic course in fundraising. This formal learning plus the successes and failures of my proposal writing have taught me to read proposals from the mindset of the funder.

So, what I have to say concerning the March 2026 P.E.I. government ministerial mandate is that if this were an NGO funding proposal, I would expect it to be rejected.
