LETTER: Coastal Financial Credit Union can still redeem itself in Wedgeport, Yarmouth County
Speaking at the annual 2026 meeting about the closing of the Wedgeport branch of Coastal Financial Credit Union, chief executive officer (CEO) Rick Doucette said: “We understand we let our members down. We should have gone to the community. We do apologize for that.”

After an almost 90-year credit union presence in Wedgeport, Yarmouth County, the branch is scheduled to close in September of this year. Accounts are to be transferred to........
