It had a rounded top and the freezer was inside. It didn’t have a separate door. This was the first electric refrigerator that my parents owned. Before that we had an actual icebox that you put ice in. I think the ice came from Shortts Lake, I’m not sure.

When we moved to the country, that old fridge moved with us. It lasted many more years until we finally got a more modern version that also lasted many years.

In the 1980s, I had an all-refrigerator. As the name implies, there wasn’t a freezer section, it was totally a fridge, so there was lots of space. Since I also had a separate chest freezer, I felt that I didn’t........
