CHEERS AND JEERS: Jeers to illegal dumpers in P.E.I.

Jeers to whoever has been illegally dumping garbage on Norwood Road in Charlottetown. Signs threatening prosecution make it clear that dumping is not allowed, yet discarded furniture, plastic barrels, books and other trash were recently littering the area. The situation has become bad enough that a police security camera has been set up, and officers have stepped up patrols in the area. While the area may be on the outskirts of the city, that doesn’t mean it should be used as a dump site. Sadly, this type of site is all too common in P.E.I. thanks to people who have no regard for the environment or their fellow Islanders.
