It was a bright, cold Tuesday morning when my colleague Amy and I set out in search of a midweek brunch.

With no particular destination in mind, we flipped through my Peterborough Musicfest Diner book to find a coupon for Cora’s, located at 815 High St.

We were in the area and the restaurant was a familiar name that we hadn’t visited in several years, so we decided that it would be a good place to enjoy.

From the moment we stepped inside, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, a pleasant contrast to the lingering chill outside. Sunlight streamed through the windows, illuminating a tidy dining room where a handful of tables were already occupied by people enjoying their meals. The hostess said hello and found us a warm seat by the window.
